Ingredients:peachdessert

2 – #2 Cans or 3 – 15 oz. Cans of Sliced Peaches
1 18.25 oz. Box - Yellow Cake Mix (A yellow cake mix for a two layer cake)
½ Cup (1 Stick) Butter or Margarine

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350°

Pour the peaches, including the juice into an ungreased 13” x 9” cake pan. Melt the butter in a measuring cup, in the microwave. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peaches. Drizzle the melted butter over the dry cake mix. Bake at 350° for 35–45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with whipped cream, whipped topping (Cool Whip) or vanilla ice cream. Refrigerate leftovers.

Notes:

A number two can is 20 ounces, which the original recipe calls for 2 #2 cans, but I used 3 -15 ounce cans and removed about 5 tablespoons of juice and 3 slices of peaches and it turned out very well. This is especially delicious and very easy and quick to make. This recipe works well with apricots also.
