| Ingredients: 2 Eggs 1 ½ Cups White Sugar 1 Cup All Purpose Flour 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder 1 Teaspoon Salt 1 Teaspoon Vanilla 2 Cups Fresh Apples, Peeled and thinly Sliced ½ Cup Pecans or Walnuts Whipped Cream Directions: Preheat oven to 350° In a medium bowl, mix eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla with an electric mixer. Using a spoon fold in the apples and nuts. Pour into a 13” x 9” pan and bake for about 45 minutes. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream. Notes: My aunt was a chef and she created this torte many years ago for a restaurant that she cooked for. It has a wonderful flavor. You can use just about any fresh fruit.
